WhaleWind, formerly Anam Cara, for is sale. Some items have been updated but overall it is starting to show it's age.
The good - sail is older but in serviceable condition; MackPack sail cover; electric windlass to raise the sail; bimini and dodger (with new glass); LP gas system relatively new (has LP gas stove, heater, and hot water - none of them used in the last three years); head was rebuilt; has good electronics (Standard Horizon CPN 700i GPS and radio, Signet wind gauge). Volvo 2000 2 cylinder 23 hp diesel (with Saildrive and folding prop) starts easily and runs well (engine hours are unknown); new fuel tank. Has Raymarine autohelm (not connected) and dingy davits.
The Bad - the deck needs painting and the cabin sole is losing the teak and holly veneer; the interior wood needs attention in spots (could use refinishing and some plywood is delaminating). Several leaks have been addressed but overall it is not a dry boat. One soft spot by a port stanchion.
The low price reflects the boat's condition. Located in Kingston NY (freshwater sailing on the Hudson River for the past three years).
Might be interested in a trade for a 26.
