    COMPLETELY RESTORED

    Aria is a unique Nonsuch 26 Ultra, built in 1986 she has hull number 215. We had her completely restored in 2018 by wood boat shipwrights Cunningham Ships Carpentry in Port Townsend, Washington, under the direction of company founder Bob Cunningham.  No part of the boat was left untouched and in the course of the project, she was brought into a pristine state. The original cabin design was preserved. We brought her with us when we moved from Washington State to Connecticut in 2021.


    Here are some highlights:


    CABIN

    • The entire interior was painted.
    • New LED lighting was installed throughout.
    • All teak was completely restored.

    Saloon:

    • New cooler cabinet with professional kitchen style door and navigation desk surface,
    • Custom companionway stair cabinet with noise-baffled engine access door,
    • New plexiglass sliding doors for lockers,
    • New cushions with elegant stain-resistant and fade-resistant designer fabrics from Perennials,
    • Restored original teak folding dining table was fitted with high quality stainless steel pedestal.
    • New teak/holly flooring.

    Galley:

    • New gimbaled polished stainless steel Force 10 Gourmet Galley two-burner propane range,
    • New stainless steel sink and faucet,
    • Custom cutting board cover for the range.
    • New stainless steel sink and faucet,
    • Custom cutting board cover for the range.


    Head:

    • New Lavac vacuum-flush marine toilet,
    • New stainless steel sink and faucet,
    • Completely new water-proof cabinets suitable for future hand shower installation.

    UTILITIES

    Electrical:

    • The entire boat was rewired, including the mast.
    • A new network was installed.
    • New Matrix AIS/GPS VHF Radio.
    • Replaced all running and masthead lights with LED lights.


    Water:

    • All new domestic water system pump and piping.
    • New IsoTemp 115V Slim 25L water heater for use with shore power.

    Engine:

    • Westerbeke 21hp overhauled in 2017
    • New cockpit gauges in 2018, 118 hours since then
    • Coolant adding from cockpit - system added in 2018
    • Fuel tank serviced in 2017


    TOPSIDE

    Cockpit and decks:

    • New custom cockpit cushions.
    • Refurbished propane locker with sea-worthy tank brallacket and new tank.
    • New Edson 1-1/4” pedestal and stainless steel top plate.
    • New Mast-head Garmin Wind Sensor, Windex, and VHF antenna.
    • Mast completely re-wired.
    • New NavPod.
    • New Garmin Chart Plotter GPSMAP 942 W/Bluechart; G2 charts loaded for U.S., Canada, Bahamas, and U.S. lakes.
    • New lifelines
    • Coated important deck, house, and cockpit areas with non-skid Kiwi Grip.

    Rigging:

    • Three new stainless steel Andersen self-tailing winches.
    • Port and starboard cabin-top rope clutches.
    • Installed low-friction Ultra Marine STRONG® Sail Track; fitted the sail with Ultra Marine stainless steel sliders and compatible batten receptacles'
    • Replaced most blocks and lines.
    • Replaced coated boom hanger cables.
    • Installed Doyle Sails battened sail cradle.
