I have a smooth running, 1985 Westerbeke 27 Diesel engine for sale. No coolant leaks. No oil leaks. The transmission is NOT INCLUDED. I believe the alternator is 40 amps. It has about 4000 hours on it. We bought it in Boston and sailed it to New York. The hour meter said 3710 when we left Boston and it stopped counting at 3787, somewhere on the Erie Canal. That was in 2020. It is being removed from my 11,000 pound Nonsuch 30. The engine pushes the boat easily. 6 knots at 2000 RPMs 6.5 knots at 2200 RPMs. The V-Drive transmission is NOT INCLUDED. This is a video of the engine running. It was a cold start. Idles about 850 RPMs. Then, in neutral, 1500 RPMs, 1800 RPMs and 2000 RPMs. I then idle, put it in forward (you can see the tranny flywheel spin at the very bottom). Increased to 1500, then 2000 RPMs. https://youtu.be/JvuANFoYrbA.  The boat is hauled.  The engine has been removed and is in my barn on a pallett. As long as your truck is not too high, I can load it with my tractor.  The Westerbeke 27 is an inline 4 cylinder engine. It has very little vibration for an engine of it's size.

I am asking $2,200.  Make an offer.

Here are the basic specs: Cylinders: 4 Bore: 2.87 in. Stroke: 3.07 in. Displacement: 80.00 cu. in. Aspiration: Natural Length: 34.97 in. Width: 20.19 in. Height: 23.87 in. Weight: 434.00 lbs.
