We bought Loon, our 1983 Nonsuch 30C in September three years ago. We did a little fall sailing and then put her away for the winter. In the spring, we did a lot of work on the boat. The previous owner had not done much in the way of upkeep. We gave her a good cleaning, waxed the top sides updated the electronics to Garmin, installed a new Garmin As-enabled VHF (with a remote microphone at the helm), replaced the black water system with a composting toilet, stripped and revarnished the cockpit table, varnished/added a drink holder, and swim ladder, and then sailed her a few times in 2025. In 2026, we uncovered he, cleaned her, painted the bottom, prop speed on the propeller, and had brand new plexiglass hatchboards fabricated. We upgraded the propane lines for the galley stove and added a new on-demand propane water heater. We just replaced the main halyard.
